I love this. How traditional Anubis looks rather than his gay furry sex god appearance he seems to take on nowadays.
He looks like he's coming out of the wall feeding Ammut that heart like I do giblets to my dog.
I am also impressed by the furries in the hiroglyphs, well i njust the hiroglyphs in general. Did you make it up as you went along or did you go from some writings?

Melanippos is a Compagnon.

Most of the heiroglyphs were based off images in a book on egyptian sketches, half finished and apprentice work.
The three distraught furs are my own creation.
The geometric preciceness is shoddy in comparisson with true egyptian art - it isn't something I had realised until I tried to emulate their style. Its amazing how much effort is required to make something simple ^_^

Tea!

Im finding using tea is very effective as a background texturing - and it sets fairly well so watercolour can be worked over the top without fear of it shifting - I don't know what effect it will have on the piece over time - whether acidity will have a degrading effect or if it will improve the aged appearance.

Tea? Really? I've got to try that. Nice job, anyway.
